The Project “Museum 15/24” – is a program for attracting young people at the age of 15–24 y. o. to exhibitions and museums; and exchange of knowledge and best practices with Russian and foreign museums, exhibition, educational and scientific institutions.
Within the framework of the project from January of 2019 till December 2020, it is planned to implement more than 200 events, to be participated by young people aged 15–24, museum specialists, curators and specialists in art education and art therapy.
The project “Museum 15-24” will be the first methodological and exhibition-educational project in Russia, forming a unified methodological, informational and resource base of educational, educational and exhibition events.
Special attention will be paid to the new practices of museum work with young people with disabilities.
One of the most important new project solutions will be the creation for the duration of the project of the International Youth Advisory Council, which will include schoolchildren and students from Russia, the Netherlands and other countries participating in the project.
The program is implemented by an international consortium: The Hermitage Amsterdam Foundation, the Hermitage 21st Century Foundation, an Outsider Art Museum (Netherlands), the State Hermitage Museum.
The Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art became a partner to the project in 2018.
The project is part of the Creative Twinning international program of the Netherlands Agency for Enterprise Development (RVO). The main project partner is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
